Still Reppin’

NAMPI Colleagues,
Greetings!! The month of July is flying by and that means we will soon be gathering for our NAMPI Annual Conference at the beautiful Westin Kierland Resort in Scottsdale, AZ. The conference setting and this year’s four-day agenda are both awesome.
The NAMPI Board has worked closely with the conference planners, “ARB Meetings and Events” ever since leaving last year’s conference in Baltimore. The ARB team does an outstanding job of finding great venues and then working with the hotel on the hundreds of details to ensure the NAMPI attendees having an enjoyable and informative conference.
Although I have attended previous NAMPI conferences, I don’t think I really appreciated how much work and planning goes into the annual conference until I became a member of the Board this past year. While the NAMPI Board and ARB have been working on this year’s conference, we have also begun planning the 2024 conference and we’re starting to think about where we would like to be in 2025.
NAMPI has also been presenting monthly, one hour training webinars on a variety of interesting Medicaid program integrity topics. If you haven’t participated in one of the webinars, I would highly encourage you and your team to do so.
I want to express my appreciation to all the NAMPI Regional Representatives who talked to their states and helped generate a record number of conference presentation proposals this year. They also helped with recommendations for speakers for the conference and the monthly webinars.
Part of each year’s annual conference is the regional roundtables where you can sit down with the PI folks from neighboring states and compare notes on Medicaid fraud trends, lessons learned, and best practices.
I am really looking forward to seeing everyone at this year’s conference. It’s a combination of friends developed from professional relationships and meeting a lot of new program integrity folks. We will see you in Scottsdale in a few days!!
